This is favorite camera shop in all the world. It's a real gem of a store in the heart of downtown Anchorage. They are very well stocked with all the latest gear, and have a decent selection of used items as well. I rented a 600mm lens for a very affordable price.
I traveled from Virginia to Alaska for my birthday and had recently purchased a refurbished camera from Amazon, to take pictures of the beautiful scenery here. I kept running into issues with my camera and after trying to fix it myself, I was out of ideas. I stopped by Stewart’s Photo in search of some help.
These guys are awesome! I didn’t actually go into the store, but I wanted to buy a used lens online. I called about the condition and the guy got the lens in his hand and described the exact condition. He even gave me a helpful tip on which shipping method to use so I could get it faster.
We had a trip to Seward so we rented a camera and a lens for a day. That’s a really great service for whoever is looking to buy a camera, you can try renting here to help with your decision!
