I just wanted to say that I had a complicated repair situation and a timeline created by an upcoming trip. I sent 2 camera bodies and 2 lenses into Leica Repair New Jersey a number of months in advance of the trip and have now received my gear back in perfect condition, and most importantly in time.

I sent my trusted and treasured Geovid 10x42 HD-B binoculars in due to an accident in the field that left one of my ocular lenses with gouges/scratches in it. I completed the required form, packaged them in their original box and sent them via UPS heavily insured.

I purchased a Leica D-LUX 4 point-and-shoot digital camera to carry with me when my large, digital SLR is feeling too cumbersome. Now, after using it for several months, I carry only the Leica.

I have my 8 x 32 Ultravids for several years now and they are truly spectacular. But I want to comment also on the repair center in Allandale, NJ. My Ultravids fell off a table and I'm guessing that was what got them out of whack, but I sent them off for repair, as Leica really stands behind their product.
