This place has been around a long time, often recommended by professors of mine, and I had the privilege of meeting the then owner many years ago, may he rest in peace. Despite this, I wasn't really a frequent customer. I'm an active member of the Dallas PPA guild and Competitive Cameras is one of our valued sponsors.
Alicia at Competitive Camera was amazing. I’ve been shopping there for the last 3–4 years for equipment, but today was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had. She helped me put together my cinema rig for my Sony ZV-E10 II and was extremely patient and attentive throughout the entire process.
Ashley and Andy were absolutely incredible to work with today. They helped me figure out what new equipment I needed for video and went so far above and beyond. Not only did they take time to walk me through my new purchases, but they spent time helping me set everything up and made sure I understood how to use it…
Highly recommend this place! Walked in and was immediately acknowledged. I was helped with finding the right camera for my needs. Bryce did a great job helping me out, not once did I feel rushed or like I was a bother. The entire staff there was so helpful and kind. It definitely beats big box stores for sure!
