Don't believe the negative reviews. I find the owner to be an incredibly interesting person who knows his craft. Every time I go I end up having an hour long conversation. If you come in here expecting him to teach you how to take photos it is not the shop for you. Come in knowing what your talking about.
A kind gentleman at Best Buy didn’t have what l was looking for but strongly recommended l go to Camera & Darkroom in Albuquerque as l was from out of town. Very out of town, from Italy in fact.
A refreshing relic in the digital world, this camera shop is a little oasis for analog romantics. I wandered in with my Polaroid level expertise (press a button and hope for magic), and walked out with some film rolls and a sense of purpose.
I had a photography emergency and the kind person running this shop helped me out in a pinch—he could've easily taken advantage of the situation and gouged the price or offered a much more expensive solution, but didn't. Honest businesses and honest humans are all too rare these days.
